PROJECT DETAILS
RoseArt developed a new line of DIY pet dolls called, 'String-a-Things'. The child begins with a foam ball she places in a spinning machine. She then feeds a colored yarn through the machine, turns the crank to form the body, and then adds accessories to complete the look. Each box comes with a variety of facial features, bows, jewelry, and fashion accessories to completely customize each pet.

My process began with a discovery phase involving market research of toy design trends and forecasting. From there, I churned out a multitude of sketches for the main package, 'Fashion Pets', which would eventually carry over to the 'Tutus & Tiaras' and 'Pixie Pets' editions. Many different layouts of product images, backgrounds, border designs, and text were initially explored. I sketched out different typographic treatments and patched together mood boards until the look was just right for our target demographic of young, crafty girls between the ages of 6 and 10.

SKETCHING AND REVISIONS
I went through over a dozen rounds of concepts, presentations and revisions. Once a suitable sketch was approved, the final color palette was determined and the package design was finalized.

PRODUCT ADDITIONS
Two additional products were added to the line so I created new, smaller packages for the product extension packs, "Pixie Pets" and "Tutu's & Tiaras".
